Becoming a member of the Lebanese Academy signifies recognition of exceptional contributions to the sciences, arts, and society. It offers a platform for collaboration, thought leadership, and advancing knowledge within Lebanon and the global community.
Eligibility Criteria

Demonstrated excellence in academic fields.

Significant contributions through publications, research, or artistic endeavors.

Upholding high moral and ethical standards in professional and societal contexts.
Member Responsibilities
- Actively participate in Academy initiatives and events.

Contribute to the advancement of sciences and arts.

Maintain active membership status through annual dues and engagement.
Membership Classes
- Biomedical and Neural Sciences: medicine, public health, global health, health sciences, anatomy, physiology, pathology, human biology, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, genetics and neurosciences.
- Natural Sciences: basic biology, earth sciences, chemistry, physics, astronomy and material sciences.
- Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences: archaeology, anthropology, comparative religion, history, literature, languages and writing, media and communications studies, performing arts, philosophy, visual and studio art, psychology, geography, mathematics, economics, sociology, law and political sciences.
- Technical and Environmental Sciences: architecture, engineering sciences, computer science, technology, graphic design, landscape design, agricultural sciences and geosiences.
Annual Dues

The amount and payment deadlines are determined annually by the Presidium.

Members will be notified in advance regarding dues and payment methods.
Class Representation

Each membership class elects a Dean to represent its members.

Deans serve a term of five years and are responsible for coordinating class activities and representing the class in the Academy’s governance.
