Membership Overview
Membership in The Lebanese Academy is both an honor and an opportunity. As a pioneering, merit-based institution, the Academy elects individuals of exceptional standing in society for their outstanding achievements in the sciences and arts. Once elected, members hold permanent membership status.
Candidates for membership are natural persons who have demonstrated excellence through their academic accomplishments, publications, or other notable contributions. They are individuals who have completed an academic education and have garnered recognition for their work.
It is essential to note that membership in the Academy is contingent upon upholding moral standing within one’s profession and society. The Senate reserves the right to rescind membership from academicians who fail to meet these standards.
Obligations
Upon election and induction into The Lebanese Academy, members are entrusted with a commitment to uphold and advance the objectives of the Academy. They are expected to demonstrate a sustained interest in furthering the growth of sciences and arts within their academic and professional spheres.
