The Lebanese Academy is pleased to announce that the Executive Board of the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA) has approved its membership application and granted the Academy provisional membership status until the next AASSA General Assembly.
AASSA brings together scientific academies and societies across Asia and Oceania to advance scientific cooperation and strengthen the contribution of science and technology to society. It serves as the regional network for Asia and Oceania within the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP).
This approval marks an important step in the Academy’s international engagement, opening opportunities to build relationships with fellow academies and contribute Lebanese expertise to regional scientific dialogue. Participation in AASSA offers a platform for exchanging knowledge, developing collaborative initiatives, and engaging with shared scientific and societal challenges.
The Academy looks forward to participating in AASSA’s programs and activities and exploring opportunities for its members to contribute their expertise. Through these exchanges, the Academy aims to strengthen connections between Lebanon’s scientific community and colleagues across the region.
